私は献血を以前まではよくしてました。スポーツを真剣にするまでは。
とある展示会で会場に移動献血車が来てました。休憩がてらいつものように
気軽に４００mlの献血をして帰りました。
その週の週末にマラソン大会にそのまま出たのですが、心臓がドキドキ息が切れて全く走れない自分に驚く。よくツールドフランスのドーピングでレース直前に自分の血液を戻して赤血球を増やして酸素の供給量を増幅させるやり方があると本で読んだことが有り、私はその逆ドーピングで血を抜いて酸素が行き渡らない過酷な条件にしてしまったのです。
その後しばらくはしんどくって走れない苦い経験をして以来、年中何らかのレースに出るスケジュールの私は献血は御法度だと決めつけてました。
でも成分献血という血小板だけを抜いて自分の体に戻すやり方があるとは知ってましたが、献血を好んでやる友達も少ないので成分献血経験者なんて探せないので相談も出来ませんでした。
でも赤血球を抜かないのだし大丈夫だろうと、それとレースがしばらく無いタイミングで挑戦してみました。
心配なので事前予約を入れて受付を。
私はてっきり自分の血を抜いて血小板をのぞいた血をまた体の戻すので２本管を刺すかと思ってたら１本なんですね！恥ずかしい・・・。寝た状態で袖をまくり上げ、血圧計のような腕を軽く圧力のかかる物を巻いて、圧がかかっている間は血を抜き、しばらくしたら圧が緩むと今度血小板をのぞいた血を体内に戻す時間。これを何度も繰り返して終了。
長時間かかるからと本を持って時間を潰そうとしていたら、看護師さんから細かい字を読むのは気持ち悪くなるといけないからと取り上げられてしまいました。そしたら昼間運動して疲れているから寝てます。ゆっくりうとうと気持ち良くなってたらまたまた看護師さんから手を握られて手をにぎにぎして下さいと。どうも寝ていると血の循環が遅くなるようでもっと早く出しなさいと。
結局看護師さんとおしゃべりして無事終了。時間にして約１時間でした。
献血だと真っ赤な血ですが成分献血だとジャムみたいな黄色い液体です。
看護師さんの話では油っぽい方の血だと成分献血も油が浮いているって言ってました。
実際この成分献血で体力的に影響が出るかはまだ分からないので、また近いうちにハードな練習を予定しているので影響を確かめたいと思います。
４００ml献血だと男性で１２週間開けないといけないから年３回しか出来ませんが、成分献血だと年間２４回も出来るので体の負担も少ないんですね。
成分献血って少ない量を抜くのかと思ってたら、私の体重からだと400ml以上を抜かれたようです。これも意外でした。
